Voller Energy was founded in 2002 to manufacture a range of portable power packs, battery rechargers, mobile generators and integrated fuel cells that will keep the rechargeable batteries in portable electronic equipment such as cordless power tools, mobile phones and notebook computers on constant charge. Voller Energy is working on a range of solutions to provide mains power in remote locations and for battery charging. As Voller Energy portable fuel cell systems produce little noise and no green house gas emissions they can often be used where conventional generators cannot. The VE100 is an alternative energy mains generator and battery charger that can be used for quiet, clean power. The Voller Energy battery charger and mobile generator products are supplied to military and industrial customers under the Portapack™ brand name.
The company plans to use the technology it has developed to keep rechargeable batteries used in portable electronic equipment such as laptop computers, power tools, cameras and mobile phones on constant charge. Voller Energy also plans to introduce special products for battery charging in boats, caravans, recreational vehicles RV's and yachts. Further the company is working on a range of portable generators (Gen-sets) that can be used for electrical power, heating and hot-water (CHP) for temporary buildings and for back-up power. Voller Energy products use advanced Proton Exchange Membrane (PEM) technology and clean reliable environmentally friendly hydrogen as the fuel. The company plans to introduce hydrogen reformers shortly that will produce hydrogen from widely available hydrocarbons such as butane, LPG or propane (often known as camping gas or BBQ gas), aviation fuel JP-8 and diesel.
